WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT ANXIETY?

Isn’t it interesting that we often don’t do the one thing that we really should do when we get anxious? We typically panic and rush around which creates even more anxiety! The first thing for us to do as soon as we sense the feeling of anxiety is to find a quiet place as soon as possible and BE STILL just for a few minutes and focus on your breath; slowing the breath and breathing as deeply as possible. 
 
Try this exercise the next time you are feeling anxious It will only take 3 minutes and it will re-set your focus so that you may be guided from within rather than from the reactions to the stressors around you! 
 
 
SIMPLE BREATHING EXERCISE TO CLEAR ANXIETY:    
 
 
1.  Find a quiet place and sit down (preferably cross-legged if you can, because this will re-set your energy to clear the anxiety more effectively)
 
2.  Make sure your spine is straight and close your eyes and bring your attention to your heart chakra (the area underneath your sternum).
 
3.  Take the deepest breath in through your nose you can take (completely fill your lungs!) and hold the breath in for 8-12 seconds. As your breath is held in, imagine your heart center getting very bright and radiating white Light to the space around you. 
 
4.  Breathe out through the mouth with a controlled steady breath and release all anxiety through that breath out. 
 
5.  Repeat breathing in and out 5 times in this manner and you will become better connected to your True Self, allowing the guidance from within to emerge clearly. 
 
 
Remember… You are in command of your own reactions. You can either choose to do nothing, and let your fear-based reactions run the show, or you can take a moment and focus on breath and Light before you react and make decisions. THE CHOICE IS YOURS! Choose Light and Peace over Fear and Anxiety and begin to enjoy life!
